MSC Privacy Policy
Article 1 (Compliance with laws and regulations)
The Mitaka International Student House Residential Committee (hereinafter referred to as MSC) will comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003, hereinafter referred to as the "Act") and will endeavor to handle personal information appropriately in order to protect the rights and interests of dormitory residents.
Article 2 (Specifying and Restricting Purposes of Use)
1. MSC will use the personal information it collects only for the following purposes: 1. Management and communication of MSC-sponsored events 2. Management and communication of self-governing activities such as the general meeting 3. Distribution of information (journals, etc.) aimed at improving the convenience of dormitory life 4. Surveys and the creation of statistical data 5. Other purposes
Providing services related to MSC-sponsored activities
2. We will not handle personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the specified purposes of use without the prior consent of the individual.
Article 3 (Appropriate Acquisition and Notification)
1. Personal information will be acquired properly, without deception or other wrongful means, and only after obtaining the individual's consent in accordance with these guidelines.
2. When personal information is acquired, unless the purpose of use has been publicly announced in advance, the purpose of use will be promptly notified to the individual or publicly announced.
Article 4 (Safety Management Measures)
1. MSC will take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss or damage of personal information it handles and to manage the personal information safely.

The access rights will be limited to the General Affairs Committee and the Public Relations Committee, and they will be properly supervised. In addition, when a committee member is replaced, the access rights and passwords will be promptly updated.
3. When the personal information provider leaves the dormitory or the purpose of use is achieved, the information will be promptly deleted in an irreversible manner.
Article 5 (Restrictions on Provision to Third Parties) In accordance with Article 27 of the Act, MSC will not provide personal information to third parties other than MSC without the prior consent of the individual, except in the following cases: 1. When required by law; 2.
When it is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent.
Article 6 (Disclosure, Correction, and Suspension of Use) If an individual requests the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use of their personal information, we will verify their identity and respond without delay in accordance with the law.
